An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly collaborative and effective veterinary hospital located in Bournemouth, within the heart of Dorset. This rewarding role sits within a modern, well-equipped practice that is widely recognised as a fantastic place for teamwork, shared learning, and open, supportive case discussion!

The hospital offers an excellent clinical environment, featuring separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment. With teams holding a wide range of clinical interests, the practice provides access to a broad pool of knowledge and experience, ensuring every case benefits from collaborative input and well-considered treatment planning.

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who thrives on variety and wants to make a genuine impact. No two days are ever the same, with a diverse mix of medical and surgical cases that will continually challenge and develop clinical skills while making a real difference to pets and owners who rely on the team during important moments.

The successful candidate will bring adaptability and resilience, along with the clinical confidence to make sound, evidence-based decisions. They will be comfortable discussing realistic treatment options, creating clear and balanced plans that reflect both best practice and individual client circumstances, and will take a pragmatic, welfare focused approach to delivering the right care for every patient.

Excellent communication skills are essential, enabling the Veterinary Surgeon to build trust with clients and work positively with colleagues across the hospital. As a true team player, they will enjoy a collaborative and supportive culture where sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and continuous improvement are actively encouraged.
