Summary
Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Aberdare
Pay Rate: £14–£15 per hour
We are working in partnership with a respected care and support provider to recruit experienced Support Workers in the Aberdare area. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and looking for flexible agency work, this is an excellent opportunity.
Applicants must have a practical manual handling certificate, a minimum of 6 months UK care and support experience, and experience working with challenging behaviour.
Role Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, person-centred care and emotional support
Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and mobility
Support individuals who present with challenging behaviour using safe, positive approaches
Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with other care professionals
Complete accurate care records and follow individual support plans
What We Need From You:
Practical Manual Handling Certificate
6+ months UK care/support experience
Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
Kind, patient, and resilient attitude
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Reliability and commitment to high-quality care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
