Summary
We are seeking a dedicated full-time HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Falkirk. This roles primary responsibility will be as a Class 2 Grab Driver delivering across the Central Belt. Occasionally the role will require assistance on our volumetric fleet - requiring assistance laying and barrowing concrete as needed, with the aid of a labourer. Applicants should be able to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism with customers. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure the secure loading and unloading of materials.
Provide excellent customer service whilst representing FVC during deliveries.
Operate volumetric mixer trucks safely and efficiently to deliver concrete across designated routes.
Nightshift required
Qualifications
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
Minimum 6 months proven grab experience.
Valid CPC card
Digital tacho
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to operate flatbed trucks is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and reliability.
Previous experience with volumetric mixers is preferred but not essential.
