Summary
Do you want to develop your skills and experience working with a range of neurological conditions and stroke?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with a special interest in Stroke and Neurology to join our Neuro Outpatient Therapy Service in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. These are exciting times for our service as we develop and improve the stroke pathway across Derbyshire.
This opportunity would be suitable for band 6 or experienced band 5 Physiotherapists.
You will join a friendly team with a strong emphasis on high quality evidence-based care, interdisciplinary teamwork and staff well-being. The team is comprised of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Technical Instructors and Admin Support.
We will provide you with a supportive environment for development. Alongside regular caseload supervision and the option of joint sessions with experienced therapy staff; we offer a robust structure of CPD, peer supervision.
We are also highly supportive of initiative and service development, both within the local team and across our wider Stroke and Neurology Specialist Services. If you are keen for professional progression and personal development, this could be the job for you.
Working hours Mon-Fri, pattern to be negotiated.
We provide clinical services in outpatient settings at Walton Hospital, Clay Cross Hospital, Springs Health Centre (Clowne) and Dronfield Health centre. Base of work can be discussed at interview.
As a Senior Physiotherapist working within our service you will:
• Undertake specialised, detailed, complex and accurate assessments of patients with stroke and neurological pathology and identify and carry out appropriate Physiotherapy interventions in conjunction with multi-disciplinary team aims and individual goal setting.
• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and goal setting to facilitate collaborative care and a high quality service.
• Working with patients in either a clinic setting or within their own homes.
