Summary
At Grangemead, a top-tier respite and emergency service for adults with learning disabilities located in Hailsham, we are looking for a passionate Waking night Support Workers to join our dedicated team. Our beautifully refurbished facility provides a warm, hotel-style atmosphere complete with en-suite accommodations and interactive sensory equipment to enrich our guests’ experiences.
We offer a fun holiday experience for both long and short respite stays, promoting life skills, independence, community presence, and opportunities for guests to forge new friendships. Our emergency services accommodate individuals facing challenging life circumstances such as safeguarding issues, homelessness, illness, bereavement, or the end of placement with caregivers.
As a Waking Night Support Worker you will collaboratively with a colleague, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests. Your responsibilities include administering medication in line with care plans, completing regular welfare checks throughout the night to ensure safety and well-being, preparing drinks and snacks when needed, and assisting with personal care while maintaining dignity, respect, and independence.
This role also entails performing security checks and maintaining cleanliness to uphold Grangemead’s high standards, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.

Our rotas operate on a 6-week rolling schedule, with Waking Night Support Workers completing 2 shifts per week from 21:30 – 07:30, please note this includes working 2 in every 3 weekends.
