Summary
We are looking for a Senior Catering Assistant / Cook to join our team at our Head Office in Steeton, West Yorkshire.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily canteen operations, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, quality, and health and safety. The role involves collaborating on menu planning, cooking, stock management, and building team relationships across our sites.
Salary: £28,000 P/A
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and customer areas
Oversee the daily operation of the site to ensure a smooth and efficient service
Ensure the highest standards of customer service, quality and customer satisfaction
Monitoring of stock, availability, supplier orders and waste control
Along with the Catering Manager, create a range of daily and weekly specials and implement new ideas based on customer preferences and seasonal availability, ensuring dietary requirements are catered for
Attend departmental weekly meetings
Establish and maintain an open, collaborative relationships across both catering sites and ensure all members of the team do the same
Cater for team and company social events
Skills & Experience Required:
Good knowledge and experience of catering including; food hygiene and food safety
Must have proven leadership experience
Minimum Level 2 Food Safety Qualification
Hold a recognised cooking qualification and/or relevant experience
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to display the Acorn Values
