Senior Nursery Practitioner – Nursery (Leicester)
Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum (Negotiable - full-time, DOE)
Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take on a senior practitioner role? We’re looking for a Senior Nursery Practitioner to support our busy nursery rooms for babies and toddlers while providing leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver safe, stimulating, and welcoming nursery environments
Plan and lead engaging EYFS activities for babies and toddlers
Support the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering teamwork and high standards
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum NVQ/Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
Experience in nursery or early years settings
Solid knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted standards
Strong organisational, communication, and team leadership skills
Calm, patient, and proactive approach to childcare
