Private Client Fee Earner (4+ PQE) – York (City Centre) | Hybrid/Remote options PT considered
A well-established, highly regarded law firm in a sought-after city centre York location is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client fee earner to join its busy Private Client / Life Planning department. This is an opportunity to handle genuinely good-quality work in a friendly, team-orientated environment with a strong work/life balance.
The role
You will manage a varied private client caseload with a high level of autonomy, including:
- Wills (including complex instructions)
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Estate administration
- Trusts and trust administration
- Inheritance Tax planning and related documentation (including IHT forms)
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships and helping to expand the
existing client base
- Supporting business development and the wider strategic objectives of the firm
You’ll work independently day-to-day, with support available from the Head of Department/Directors when needed.
About you
The firm is keen to speak with Solicitors or Legal Executives who can demonstrate:
- 4+ years’ PQE (or equivalent) in Private Client work
- Confidence running your own caseload across Wills, LPAs, estates and trusts
- Experience with high-net-worth matters, including complex estates and trusts
- Strong drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent client care and relationship management skills
- A professional, organised and proactive approach
- Confidence to contribute to business development (networking/relationship
building)
- Property law experience is advantageous but not essential
Working pattern
This role can be fully remote, hybrid or office-based, and part-time hours will also be considered.
