Summary

Childcare Solicitor / Legal Executive – Public Law (Care) | Teesside (Stockton area)
PQE/Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience running your own childcare caseload
Working pattern: Full time or part time (minimum 4 days per week ideally)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Salary: Great salary + benefits (DOE)

A forward-thinking Teesside law firm is seeking an additional Childcare Solicitor / Legal Executive to help develop and expand its established Family team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-resourced, supportive legal aid department with genuine progression, including support towards Children Panel membership.



The role

You will handle your own caseload (with support), primarily focusing on public law care matters, including:

- Advising clients throughout proceedings
- Drafting applications, statements and other court documentation
- Preparing cases for hearings and managing deadlines
- Advocacy at court (depending on experience)
- Working confidently within the Legal Aid process

The team

You’ll be joining a strong Family team with significant experience in both public and private law proceedings offering full secretarial support and a supportive environment with experienced colleagues around you

What they’re looking for

- At least 2 years’ experience running your own caseload across the full range of
childcare matters
- Solicitors and Legal Executives considered (with the right level of experience)
- Strong drafting, organisation and time management skills
- Excellent client care and a genuine commitment to this area of work
- Lexcel experience is desirable (not essential)
