About You
Are you an experienced Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding leadership role?
Medacs Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and confident Band 7 RMN to provide senior clinical leadership. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about driving high standards of care, clinical quality, and service improvement.
You will provide expert clinical oversight, support and develop nursing staff, and play a key role in governance, audit, and quality assurance across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and senior decision‑making support across the service
- Act as a visible and accessible senior clinician for staff managing complex presentations
- Maintain oversight of care quality, risk management, and clinical documentation
- Lead and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Support incident reviews, ensuring learning and improvement actions are implemented
- Ensure compliance with NMC standards, NICE guidance, safeguarding, and local policies
- Deliver and support training, supervision, and professional development for nursing staff
- Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues, service managers, and clinical leads
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and reflective practice
Essential Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 7) with:
- Valid NMC registration (RMN)
- Significant post‑registration experience at Band 6 or above
- Experience with inpatient services
- Demonstrable experience providing clinical leadership and senior decision‑making
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, audit, and quality assurance
- Experience supporting staff development, training, or supervision
- Recent NHS experience and ability to pass enhanced background checks
