Summary
Kenect are currently recruiting for x2 Transport Supervisors to work for our prestigious client based in the area of Measham, Swadlincote. This company is ever-growing with a vision to develop skills and build careers through their internal talent team, so their employees are at the heart of who they are. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, with potential to becoming a permanent employee.
You will be responsible for:
- Reporting into the Transport Manager daily
- Oversee and support with co-ordinating a team of drivers (rigids/artics/class 1/class 2)
- Ensure smooth and efficient running of route planning
- Liaise with drivers for debrief and prebrief
- Planning routes to either DC's or trade centre's nationwide
- Driver compliance/tacho dipping
x1 position is 11:00 - 19:00
x1 position is 05:00 - 13:00 - please state which position you are applying for when calling
£15.92ph (circa. £33,000 per annum)
About you:
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work both collaboratively/in a team and also independently
- Take pride in managing multiple tasks
- Experience working within a fast-paced transport environment, ideally home deliveries
