Summary
Are you a night owl that likes to keep your days free to do the things that you may not be able to do in the evenings? For example, spending your day studying, quality time with your family if they are at home, get the housework done whilst the house is quiet or to simply have some “you” time.
Catherine House Care Home in Frome is looking for night owls to join the night team. This role is suited to people who are kind, understanding and reliable, including those who may never have considered a career in care before, but are interested in supporting others, helping them to feel safe and live with independence and dignity.
What are the benefits?
Excellent Hourly Rate
Complimentary meals
Bank Holiday Enhancement
Young workers (18+) are paid the same as those aged 25+
Free DBS
Unlimited access to our Refer a Friend bonus scheme - £50 each of high street & online vouchers
Full-time, part-time and bank hours offered
Automatic enrolment on to our pension scheme
Fully funded CPD accredited training programme provided for all team members
NVQ part funded support
12 weeks induction programme with an assigned Mentor
Career opportunities
A 24/7 specialist welfare help line for guidance & support
The Role
Night shifts are generally quieter, but they are still active and important. The role includes supporting people who choose to stay up, offering personal care where needed, and providing company, whether that’s a chat or making a snack together. There is also computer-based work, such as recording care plans and daily notes, so accuracy and attention to detail are important. Towards the end of the shift, you’ll help prepare for the morning by setting tables for breakfast and making sure the home feels like a home from home.
Please apply if you are interested in joining our night team and would like to find out more about the role.
