Summary
This is a full time role working 35 hours per week Monday-Friday on a varied shift pattern including occasional night work and 1:4 weekends (with time off in lieu)
Your role will include:
- Assisting with orthopaedic examination and assessments
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures including radiography, CT
- Scrubbing into orthopaedic surgery in theatre
- Working with the Head of Service and orthopaedic nursing team to manage clinical organisation of advanced cases and their follow up
- Client communication, including nurse lead discharge and re-examination appointments
- Providing excellent nursing care for patients within all areas of the Surgery ward, including orthopaedic patients
- Contributing to the training and development of student vets and nurses on clinical rotations
- Referral nursing experience is not required as full specialist training and support will be provided.
Experience as a clinical coach would be desirable but not essential as training is provided.
