Summary

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Design Coordinator to join our Estates team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in planning, designing, and delivering a wide range of estates projects — from feasibility through to construction.
You’ll work closely with internal colleagues, external design teams, and contractors to make sure our buildings and spaces are well designed, technically sound, and aligned with our estate strategy, sustainability ambitions, and regulatory requirements.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their experience across multidisciplinary design, influence the development of high-quality learning and working environments, and see their work delivered across a large and diverse university estate. If you enjoy problem solving, collaboration, and bringing clarity to complex design information, this role offers variety, autonomy, and a supportive team environment where your skills will make a visible difference.
About you
You’ll bring experience coordinating design information on construction or estates projects, along with a good understanding of multidisciplinary design, technical detailing, and building services. You are confident working with Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe design tools, and you know how to interpret drawings, specifications, and data to support informed decisions.
You communicate clearly, build positive relationships, and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders — from academics and operational users to technical consultants and contractors. You take ownership of your work, manage tasks effectively, and are committed to continuous improvement.
Where you will be working
In this role, you’ll be based at our modern Frenchay Campus
