Summary

As the Front Line Manager, you will manage Company transport operations and transport personnel to a standard that satisfies Company quality expectations. you will be responsible for the management of drivers by leading and motivating and to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.

You will be working at our Belfast site, Monday to Friday (39 hours per week). We are offering a competitive remuneration package.

Purpose of the role

To control and manage Company transport operations and transport personnel to a standard that satisfies Company quality expectations. To follow the procedures documented or briefed to ensure operations are completed. To adhere to statutory and Company requirements for the Health & Safety of yourself and your co-workers. To ensure the accurate and timely cross-dock operation on behalf of Movianto UK

How you'll make an impact as a Front line manager at Movianto:

  • Deliver FLM performance across productivity, cost, service, and departmental KPIs, including planning daily driver runs, route allocation, and transport/MHE operations.
  • Act as the Transport process subject matter expert, driving continuous improvement through identifying, testing, and implementing process enhancements.
  • Monitor, manage, and re-target Transport team productivity to ensure operational and performance objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Lead and manage staff performance, including objective setting, reviews, training and development, handling employment issues, and conducting disciplinary processes when required.
  • Ensure full compliance with Safe Working Practices, including the safe handling of Controlled Drugs during the loading process.
  • Oversee driver brief/debrief processes and organise training for new starters and agency staff to company quality standards.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments and customers, resolving day-to-day queries or complaints while remaining flexible to meet changing business needs.

What it will take to thrive as a Front line manager at Movianto:

  • Proven experience building, leading, and managing successful transport teams within fast-paced 3PL logistics environments.
  • Strong background in Transport Management, with a demonstrated track record of driving business and operational improvements; healthcare experience desirable.
  • Confident, articulate communicator with strong verbal and written skills, able to influence and engage effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Innovative, enthusiastic, and creative problem-solver, capable of providing effective solutions to people and operational challenges.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, with a methodical approach to managing tasks, processes, and quality checking key documentation.
  • Computer literate with experience using transport management systems; lean operational training desirable.
  • Educated to GCSE level (A-C including Mathematics), with further education to A-Level or equivalent considered beneficial.
