Clinical: The successful candidate may need to work across all OUH hospital sites, including the Horton hospital in Banbury. The work schedule is resident, full shift 1:8 on call rota, mainly covering theatres but this may occasionally change to involve cover in Obstetrics and all Critical Care, especially in period so f high need, e.g. pandemic. Daytime work will typically include 3-monthly modules in specialties discussed between the Fellow, the programme director, and the College Tutors to ensure training of current trainees is not compromised. Facilities for study and training: Time is set aside for personal development, CPD and Audit. There are facilities both physical and electronic to support the post-holder in this. Additional time may be made available for research if desired. Teaching, audit and research: Fellows will be allocated time for completion of projects supporting their goals.
