Summary
The work of the Women’s Estate Psychology Service (WEPS) spans core forensic work: completion of complex risk assessments along with therapeutic intervention work, consultancy, training & research, as well as a broad range of safety-related work within women’s prisons, and as women transition back into the community. The post holder will have the opportunity to engage in a range of work with a key focus on the Early Days Service (TEDS) which provides enhanced support for women in their early days in custody. This will include the collaborative development of strengths-based plans based on psychological formulations and using these in a multiagency/multi-disciplinary way to support women in custody and through into the community more effectively. The post holder will also support the delivery of CFT based HOPE groups for vulnerable women new to custody.
