Summary
Neway International are seeking an M365 Tester to join our client based with Liverpool City Council.
Location: Cunard Building, Water Street, Pier Head, Liverpool, Merseyside, L2 2BS
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: 01 April 2026
End Date: 9 months
Pay Rates: PAYE: £19.40 per hour Umbrella/Ltd: £25.38 per hour
About the Client
Liverpool City Council’s ICT & Digital Service sits within the Strategy & Change Directorate and is responsible for delivering modern, secure and efficient digital solutions across the organisation. The team supports large‑scale transformation programmes, ensuring technology is robust, user‑focused and aligned with organisational priorities.
The Role
The M365 Tester will support the delivery of a specialist project by testing Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Dynamics, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and CoPilot. The postholder will work closely with developers, end users and cross‑functional teams to ensure integrations, customisations and system changes are fully tested and meet business requirements.
The initial training period will be office‑based, with hybrid working thereafter subject to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement test scripts aligned with business and technical requirements
Conduct functional, regression and performance testing across M365 applications
Identify, document and report defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues
Test integrations between M365, D365 and existing systems
Use Azure DevOps and other testing tools to support collaborative working
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of M365 developments, updates and best practices
Work closely with end users to validate functionality and user experience
Support the delivery of a one‑off project requiring high‑quality testing and assurance
Candidate Requirements
Strong experience testing Microsoft 365 applications and services
Knowledge of M365 technical components including integration, configuration and troubleshooting
Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for test management
Ability to create, execute and maintain test scripts
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Ability to identify defects, analyse root causes and support resolution
Understanding of Dynamics 365 integrations is desirable
Ability to work office‑based during initial training period
