About the Role:
HCRG Staffing are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in Leeds for a local authority / Council.
An Occupational Therapist (OT) required to work in a community care bed setting. Previous experience of working in an intermediate care setting is desirable.
As an OT within the Recovery Hub service in Leeds, you will support adults who have left hospital but are not yet ready to return home. We require someone with experience of working in a rehabilitation-focused, community bed setting, to help people regain daily living skills and identifying the supports they need to return home.
This role could include weekend working on a rota basis and is office based.
Key responsibilities include:
- To work alongside nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, and support staff as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team and contribute to person-centred discharge planning.
- To be responsible for assessing and treating patients with diverse needs to facilitate a safe, timely discharge from hospital and prevent unnecessary readmissions.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licenses: HCPC registered
- Experience: 2 years experience. Previous experience of working in an intermediate care setting is desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassion and patience when working with vulnerable individuals. Ability to use own initiative to provide information and support to other staff
