Summary

Are you an inspiring leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care for older people?

We support people with complex needs through a compassionate, person‑centred approach, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to exceptional care.

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead our 81‑bed residential care home ensuring the delivery of high‑quality support for older adults, including those living with dementia and individuals requiring end‑of‑life care.

As Registered Manager, you’ll ensure the service delivers safe, effective, compassionate and person‑centred care in line with CQC regulations and best practice. You’ll provide strong clinical and operational leadership, guiding and motivating your team to consistently meet regulatory standards, contractual commitments and the organisation’s core values. You’ll drive continuous improvement, nurture a positive culture and ensure the home remains a place where residents truly feel at home.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the service in full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership.
  • Ensure the delivery of person-centred, safe and effective care, ensuring robust care planning, risk assessment and review processes are in place.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the staff team.
  • Manage the home’s budget effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Lead on the recruitment, selection and retention of staff.
  • Supervise and appraise staff, identifying training and development needs.

About you

We’re seeking an experienced leader with:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and Care Act 2014.
  • Experience of managing services for older people, including those with dementia and complex needs.
  • Experience of risk assessment, care planning and quality monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and build strong partnerships.
  • Understanding of dementia care, person-centred practice and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of end of life and palliative care principles.
