Substantive
Part-Time – 35.15 hours per week
Band 2 Salary Range £26,696 - £28,988 per annum (pro-rata)
plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro-rata)
(*Salary and Distant Islands Allowance as of 1 April 2026)
Do you have excellent communication and IT skills? Would you like to join our busy department and play a key role in patient appointments and communication?
Duties include being the first point of contact for service users across a range of imaging modalities including the new MRI service, booking patient appointments, liaising with clinicians and arranging clinics for visiting services, as well as printing and sending reports and other administrative duties.
Desirable candidates will demonstrate polite, confident and articulate communication skills required for face-to-face and telephone conversations with all service users including patients, nurses, doctors and the radiography team. You will have excellent computer literacy, and the ability to undertake tasks using a range of hospital IT systems in an environment where there are regular interruptions via telephone and in-person.
You must be able to take direction from the clinical medical imaging staff and prioritise your own workload to meet the service demands.

As from 01/04/2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
