Exciting new Estimating role for a Privately owned Tier 1 main contactor! This role is to work office based in Central London.
About the role of Estimator
We are one of the largest Tier 1 main contractors in the construction industry and work within various sectors including Commercial offices, Healthcare, Hotels, Leisure, Industrial, Data Centres, Education and Residential.
We are a privately owned business with one of the strongest financials in history with a £1 billion turnover. We have outstanding members of staff that have been with us for a very long time. There are currently 5 Estimators (and looking for more) in the London division that sit with multiple other Estimators from other divisions which creates a really nice atmosphere!
We are founded on a 'can do' culture, driven by agility and high performance. Our talented teams work on some of the UK and UAE's most complex projects. We are seeking individuals with the 'can do' culture that we founded!
We are looking for someone who has experience in commercial projects as most of the role will be focused on commercial projects whilst also working on an occasional healthcare/educational project. These projects will have a value of £40million to £500 million. The Estimator role will also be reporting to the Estimating Director
Responsibilities for Estimator
Estimating high-value building projects worth ten to hundreds of millions of pounds
Turn early designs into real-world budgets, interpreting early drawings, specifications and client briefs to produce detailed cost breakdowns
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with design managers, planners, engineers etc.
Requirements for Estimator
- Experience working on single stage and two stage tenders
- Longevity at previous employment
- Assistant level ready to transition into estimator role or intermediate level
- Commercial experience
