Join Our Finance Team
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our busy Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. About the Role
As Finance Officer, you will provide efficient and accurate accounting and transactional support in line with College policies and financial regulations. You will play an important role in maintaining robust financial processes and supporting the wider College community.

Key responsibilities include:

Processing accounts payable invoices accurately and in line with procedures

Liaising with suppliers to resolve payment queries

Processing cash book entries

Supporting procurement card reconciliation, ensuring appropriate coding and receipts

Assisting with Accounts Payable tasks, including reminder letters and responding to customer queries

Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including posting journals

Maintaining accurate financial data and systems

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance team

You will also contribute to team KPIs, support the College’s strategic objectives, and ensure safeguarding policies are upheld at all times.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

Holds a Level 2 (or higher) qualification in Maths and English

Has previous experience working within a busy Finance department

Demonstrates strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel

Can prioritise workload effectively and remain calm under pressure

Works well independently and as part of a team

Has strong analytical skills and can interpret detailed financial information

Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, students, and external stakeholders

Brings a patient, supportive and empathetic approach to their work
