Summary
About The Role
We are looking for an Application Engineer – SharePoint to help deliver LiveWest’s document management and Microsoft 365 projects. You’ll support the development and rollout of solutions across SharePoint, Purview and our document management solution, making sure colleagues have the right tools and systems to work effectively.
Working in our Corporate Services directorate, you’ll be focussed on leading improvement projects, but also configuring and maintaining core Microsoft 365 platforms, and ensuring our systems are reliable, secure and well‑documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system improvement and implementation projects across the M365 platform.
- Configure and manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions and supporting features.
- Configure and manage Purview for information labelling and retention.
- Configure and manage integrations for documents across M365 and our core systems.
- Ensure data quality, documentation and handovers into BAU are completed to a high standard.
- Communicate technical information clearly to a wide range of colleagues.

To be successful in your application for the role of Application Engineer – SharePoint, you will have the essential skills and experience for a Level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role‑specific skills and experience:
Essential Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
- Strong experience working with SharePoint Online.
- Experience in M365 governance, lifecycle management and security.
- Experience building and deploying solutions using M365 and Azure.
- Ability to work with stakeholders from across the business, at all levels.
- Strong consultancy, communication and influencing skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy and relevant technical certifications (M365, SharePoint, Purview).
Desirable Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
- HND or Degree in a relevant discipline.
Please note, we are unable to provide CoS for this role; therefore, applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of this role without requiring a CoS.
