Summary
Control Systems Project Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced Control Systems Project Manager to take ownership of complex electrical and automation projects-covering everything from design coordination and panel build through to PLC/SCADA integration, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing full project lifecycle: design, build, test, install, commission, and client handover
- Coordinating electrical design, panel build teams, PLC/SCADA engineers, and site activities
- Creating and controlling programmes, risk registers, change logs, and cost plans
- Running FAT/SAT, reviewing drawings (SLDs, GAs, schematics), and assuring documentation
- Managing contracts, variations, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Leading client meetings, progress reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, BS 7671 H&S, RAMS, and site standards
What You'll Bring
- 5-10 years managing UK electrical/control systems projects
- Experience with PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider)
- Hands‑on commissioning and FAT/SAT experience
- Ability to read/mark up AutoCAD/EPLAN drawings
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing communication skills
- Knowledge of CDM, site practice, and safe subcontractor management
Desirable: APM/PRINCE2/PMP, Electrical HND/Degree, 18th Edition, ECS/CSCS/SMSTS, functional safety or cyber standards awareness.
