Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £30,000



Join a nursery rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with bright, well-resourced rooms and a large outdoor space including a mud kitchen and sand area. Children are given time and space to explore while you take a hands-on leadership role in your room. As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading your room, and ensuring high standards of care, learning, and staff practice.



Before You Apply



  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.

  • Recent experience leading a room in an EYFS nursery setting is essential.

  • This role is not suitable for applicants without hands-on leadership experience in a nursery.

What You’ll Need



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)

  • Recent experience leading a room within an EYFS nursery

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child development

  • Confidence managing staff, routines, and room practice

  • Ability to support nursery management in operational decisions



What You’ll Do



  • Lead your room, managing staff, routines, and resources

  • Support the Nursery Manager in daily nursery operations and decision-making

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS

  • Act as a key person, maintaining learning journals and tracking children’s progress

  • Plan and adapt activities based on children’s interests and developmental needs

  • Ensure safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained

  • Communicate professionally with parents about their child’s development and nursery routines
