A highly regarded, award-winning Yorkshire law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to lead its established Employment team.
This is a rare opportunity to head up a nationally recognised Employment practice within a high-profile firm known for its work across commercial sectors, including sport and corporate advisory.
The firm has a strong national reputation in Employment Law and acts for a broad client base including major businesses, sports organisations, corporate entities and private individuals.
The Role
You will advise employers and individuals on a full spectrum of employment matters, including:
- Day-to-day contentious and non-contentious employment advice
- Employment Tribunal claims and representation
- Settlement agreements
- Directors’ service agreements
- Contracts, policies and handbooks
- TUPE advice (working closely with the Corporate team)
- Restrictive covenants
- Workplace investigations and mediation
- HR support and training seminars
You will lead the team, manage complex matters independently and play an active role in business development.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
- Strong tribunal experience, including drafting pleadings and witness statements
- Experience negotiating settlements for employers and employees
- Commercially minded with sound risk assessment skills
- Confident working independently and managing a diverse caseload
- Proactive, client-focused and committed to high professional standards
- Keen to contribute to marketing and business development
