Summary

Warehouse Operative

Salary: £25,500 - £28,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Newbury (must have own transport - no public transport links)

We're seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our clients small, close-knit team. We're looking for someone who can work well with others while bringing strong practical skills and reliability to the group.

Benefits:

  • Salary £25,500 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • 29 days holiday including bank holidays (increases with service)
  • Opportunity for career development to supervisor level for the right person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and store incoming goods
  • Pick, pack, and despatch orders securely
  • Operate a stock rotation system, assist with regular stock takes and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure general tidiness
  • Drive a van between neighbouring sites as needed
  • Undertake hands-on tasks, including lifting and moving goods
  • Adhere to safe working practices and promptly report any safety concerns
  • Opportunity to support basic repair tasks

About You:

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, heavy lifting work
  • Team player who thrives in a small team environment
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car
  • Able to drive a van for site cross overs
