Are you a dependable, customer-focused HGV Driver who takes pride in doing the job properly?
Looking to join a busy, supportive team where your role keeps the branch and our customers moving every day?
We’re looking for a professional Class 2 Driver to join us at AW Lumb & Co in Mansfield. This is a hands-on role at the heart of
the operation — delivering building materials safely, efficiently and with great service, every time.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering a wide range of building materials to customer sites across the region
* Loading and unloading vehicles and ensuring accurate stock movement
* Operating a Moffett (preferred) safely and in line with all regulations
* Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
* Keeping your vehicle clean, safe and well presented
* Providing a professional, friendly experience for every customer
* Completing delivery paperwork and handling returns correctly
* Supporting the wider branch and yard team when needed
What we’re looking for
* Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence and Driver CPC
* Moffett licence preferred, or willingness to train
* Experience in a multi-drop delivery role
* A strong focus on safety, service and teamwork
* Good knowledge of local routes and safe delivery practices
* Reliable, organised and calm under pressure
* High standards of timekeeping and presentation
* Right to work in the UK
The details
Hours: 6.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
Holiday: 22 days plus Bank Holidays
Salary: £34,580 per annum
Benefits: Discretionary bonus scheme
