Summary


We are recruiting for a MRI Clinical Specialist Radiographers who share our vision to provide outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You must be an experienced MRI radiographer wishing to expand your experience to help shape the future of our MRI service. Based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, you will perform a range of MR examinations and participate in a cross site rota with our sister site at the new QEII Hospital, supporting the MRI lead radiographers in providing a safe and efficient service.

We are looking for experienced individuals with proven clinical ability in MR imaging experience, who have the desire to develop their career and increase their expertise in a modern, well-equipped environment. Training will be provided to support you in your role.

In addition to general MR examinations, there is a fortnightly paediatric session for sedated and general anaesthetic cases and a dedicated session for patients with conditional pacemakers with support from cardiology.

The Trust currently has 3 Siemens MRI scanners (2 x 3T and a 1.5T).

The department also has 5 CT scanners (Siemens and Toshiba), CR/DR systems, integrated with Carestream PACS and encompass a comprehensive range of equipment including DR general and dental rooms, flat plate interventional room, hybrid theatre, CT, MRI, Breast Imaging, DXA Scanning, Nuclear Medicine SPECT, flat plate image intensifiers and a wide range of Ultrasound services.

There is also a dedicated recovery area for interventional cases in Radiology.

The successful candidate will take part in a 7 day working shift pattern.
