Are you an exceptional educator with a heart for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? If so, this captivating opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Part-time Outreach SEMH Tutor (Secondary) in Basildon, Essex, could be the perfect next step in your career.
As a Part-time Outreach SEMH Tutor (Secondary), you will have the chance to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners, guiding them towards academic success and personal growth. Utilising your expertise and compassionate approach, you will work closely with our clients, a group of dedicated education professionals, to design and deliver tailored learning experiences that cater to the unique needs of each student.
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one or small group tuition, both in-person and remotely, to secondary school students with SEMH challenges. Your role will involve carefully assessing each student's needs, developing individualised learning plans, and implementing engaging, evidence-based teaching strategies to help them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
Flexibility is key in this position, as you will be expected to work up to 20 hours per week, with the potential to earn a competitive hourly rate of up to £25 per hour, either as an umbrella or self-employed professional. This arrangement allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in the lives of your students.
As an Outreach SEMH Tutor (Secondary), you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, mental health professionals, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to supporting your students. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with both students and their families will be instrumental in this role.
To be successful in this position, you will need to possess a relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, along with extensive experience working with secondary school students, particularly those with SEMH needs. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by this student population and a proven track record of delivering impactful interventions are also essential.
If you are ready to embark on a rewarding journey as a Part-time Outreach SEMH Tutor (Secondary) in Basildon, Essex, we encourage you to submit your curriculum vitae (CV) for consideration. This job is being advertised on Senploy - the UK's favourite education and SEND job board.
