This is a fixed term role for 6 months.

Job Summary:

You will provide efficient, effective and responsive tenancy and estate management services on all housing management issues within a designated work area (in line with agreed policies and priorities of the Council). You will conduct regular street and apartment block inspections to ensure that tenants keep to their Tenancy Agreements and ensure that our communal areas and housing estates are safe, tidy and maintained to a satisfactory condition.



Excellent communication and customer care skills are required as you will be expected to deal with customers on a daily basis as well as staff from other departments and our partner organisations.



You will undertake both proactive and reactive work to ensure estate areas are maintained. This includes functions such as fire safety checks, environmental enforcement, ensuring the security of communal areas, minor routine maintenance, handyperson service, fly tip and rubbish removal, the removal of hazardous items, removal of graffiti from housing land and arranging relevant services regarding repairs, faults or maintenance issues (for example, lifts).



To undertake general grounds maintenance and minor repair work in a designated area using a range of vehicles, power hand tools, light plant, mowing machinery and hand tools in line with City Council Health and Safety Policies
