Join us in helping people stay safe at home. As our Fire Compliance Surveyor, you’ll transform fire risk assessment recommendations into effective projects that safeguard our customers and communities each day. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role:
You will lead and coordinate fire safety remedial and improvement works arising from FRAs across our housing stock—scoping, specifying, programming and assuring quality from start to finish. Day‑to‑day, you’ll:
Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of actions from Fire Risk Assessments, ensuring risks are mitigated within agreed timescales.
Oversee contractors and specialist consultants, driving performance, safety, cost, quality and compliance.
Undertake site inspections and provide technical oversight, verifying works meet technical standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate compliance data and provide clear progress, risk and financial reporting.
Work closely with residents, internal teams and Fire & Rescue Services to plan and deliver works with minimal disruption.
What You’ll Bring
A Level 4 fire safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management or equivalent FRA qualification).
Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of fire safety legislation, residential building safety principles, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience delivering fire safety or compliance‑related projects, including managing FRA actions and coordinating remedial works.
Experience managing contractors and consultants, ensuring quality, performance and compliance on site.
Confident project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and oversee multiple workstreams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work effectively with residents, Fire & Rescue Services, and internal teams.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate compliance records and provide clear reporting.
A customer‑focused, accountable and performance‑driven approach aligned to our organisational values.
A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Merseyside and Cheshire.
What you’ll get in return:
This is a full time, fixed-term contract role for 12 months. Your main base can be either our Liverpool or Congleton offices with the requirement to travel throughout the Merseyside & Cheshire areas.
You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually.
