Job Summary
Position: Support worker/pa
Part time, 8-12 hours per week
Days of Work:
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday Thursday Friday
Hours of Work:
Hours will vary due to timings of medical appointments and activities client wishes to do but you will work no longer than a 12 hour shift or shorter than a 4 hour shift (unless explicitly stated). Rotas will be published on the online portal you will be given access to upon being successful with your application.
Wage: ££12.21 per hour, paid monthly

Funding : local authority fully funded direct payments no company involved.
About the client
Lydia is 24 years old and lives with her fiance Ajay Curtis and friend Declan Harris , in a accessable council house. Lydia is a full time wheelchair user and has a through floor lift to get upstairs, a wet room bathroom, a shower chair , a toilet frame and a bed rail. Lydia is autistic and has struggles associated with this. Lydia has multiple neurological conditions which affect her mobility and cause her pain. Lydia requires a lot of medication dayly. Lydia struggles with her mental health.
Lydia attends a cheerleading group for disabled children and young people at the saints stadium she regularly does performances and similar things.
Lydia attends a day center for people with disabilities one full day every week where she is part of the media group she requires 1 to 1 support to do this. Lydia also attends social and leisure activities this is usually one evening a week with her 1 to 1 and the staff from her day center but is occasionally fun Fridays where she attends a extra Friday that week at buzz hub. And yoga at the nuro gym in Liverpool.
Lydia likes to go on days out with her friend blue who is also disabled. So this can only happen with the help of Lydia’s support worker.
The people Lydia lives with also all have disabilities and support needs so while the role is predominantly to support and care for Lydia you will also need to support the other residents of the home.
Job Description
To provide care and support to the client to allow her to live a for filled and good life.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Personal care
2. Medication management/administration (controlled drugs)
3. Food preparation
4. Keeping clients home clean and tidy (makes up a large portion of the roll)
5. Attend day centre with client
6. Moniter clients health conditions and communicate with health professionals and attend medical appointments.
7. Emotional and social support
8. Moving and handling
9. Helping client to socialise and get out and about
10. Helping client to make good decisions for her own wellbeing
11. Pet care (cat and 3 guinea pigs).
12. Along with other more specific help needed at the time.
Reporting and Contacts
The Support worker/pa will report to Paul Ambrose Lydia’s dad.
Internal Contacts:
1. Paul Ambrose – the clients father is happy to help with any issues or questions.
External Contacts:
1. NHS medical professionals. - Employee will work in conjunction with NHS medical staff to ensure the clients health and wellbeing are being addressed.
2. Social care team - Employee will work along side Lydias pre established social care team , this includes social workers, day centre staff and Lydia's unpaid carers.
