Summary
Zero-hours contract with opportunity to progress to fixed hours
We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support an individual with complex needs within their own home and in the local community in Walsall. This is a bespoke, person-centred care package delivered by a nurse-led team, with a strong focus on safety, continuity, and high-quality care.

- Providing compassionate, reliable care tailored to the individual’s needs
- Supporting daily routines, education-related transitions, activities, and community access
- Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
- Working as part of a consistent care team with ongoing support and supervision
Contract type
- Zero-hours contract
Opportunity to progress to fixed hours as the package develops
Suitable for carers seeking flexibility with potential long-term stability
Working hours
- Weekdays: 7:00am – 5:30pm during school days
- Weekdays: 8:00am – 6:00pm during half term and school holidays
- Saturdays: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Flexibility required as hours may vary in line with care needs
Key duties
- Delivering personal care in line with individual care plans
- Supporting the individual within the home and community
- Driving the individual as required
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes promptly
- Maintaining accurate and timely care records
- Working professionally within the home and community environment
Essential requirements
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a health or social care setting
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach
- Ability to follow detailed care plans
- Good verbal and written communication skills
