Summary
The role requires scheduled stock counts and ordering the weekly stock for the unit whilst identifying any equipment in short supply or any issues with stock levels liaising with our stores and pre-empting any further delays or issues which may arise. During deliveries, housekeepers check received items to ensure that they function as expected and report any concerns. The role involves understanding the unit budget and making sure we are ordering within this budget whilst reviewing specialist equipment which may be required as additional expense. The role requires someone who is well organised with a good standard of written and verbal communication. Computer skills are an essential part of the job. The ability to work in a team is essential as you will work closely with many professional groups including nursing, procurement and infection control.
