Summary
This important role is to help support and navigate patients, their families andcarers through the Head & Neck Cancer pathway ensuring that the Head &Neck cancer services prime aim is to be patient-focused at its heart andproactive in seeing that the patient receives the very best cancer pathwayexperience within the shortest time frame with continual communication andsupport.The role requires someone with exceptional organisational skills who candemonstrate great communication and interpersonal skills. A caring andsensitive attitude is essential as you will be dealing with patients, their familiesand carers.The post holder will work closely with clinicians (Consultants and CancerNurse Specialists), Managers and Booking Staff in order to identify andresolve delays in the pathway. They will be responsible for closely managingthe patient tracking list (PTL), escalating operational issues and maximisingavailable capacity by providing feedback to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
