Summary

The DMS Coordinator is responsible for monitoring deliveries through the web‑based delivery management system (DMS) to ensure full compliance with the Development Consent Order (DCO) and to support the safe and efficient construction of Sizewell C (SZC).

The DMS regulates the number of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) dispatched to the SZC project and ensures all road‑freight prerequisites are correctly processed.

The DMS Coordinator will work directly with Tier 1 contractors to support, advise, and enforce compliance with the Development Consent Order (DCO), administering and reporting on the Delivery Management System to uphold project standards. The role involves delivering training, leading weekly Masterclass sessions, investigating delivery discrepancies, ensuring adherence to SZC delivery rules and regulations, and maintaining accurate reporting. This position requires strong communication, compliance oversight, analytical skills, and stakeholder engagement.

The post will be based either at the SZC Main Construction Site or at the Freight Management Facility (FMF) once operational.

Pay £16.66 per hour

Weekly Hours 40 hours per week, including some early and late starts and finishes and weekend work on monthly rotation.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure full compliance with DCO conditions by monitoring contractor activity and enforcing delivery rules and regulations
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Delivery Management System (DMS), supporting operators on the day of arrival and resolving system issues
- Monitor road and traffic conditions and oversee the safe coordination of AIL movements
- Track and review all deliveries in line with project priorities, identifying and escalating variances to the DMS Manager
- Produce accurate, well‑analysed reports using Microsoft and Google applications to support operational decision‑making
- Lead effective communication with Tier 1 contractors, promoting consistent standards and providing clear operational guidance
- Contribute actively to daily and weekly internal and external meetings, sharing updates and insights
- Support DMS office administration, including record‑keeping, filing, and minute‑taking

Skills and Competencies

- Strong IT skills - Required
- Experience in Microsoft and Google Applications - Required
- Experience in managing an office environment
- Experience providing first line advice to internal and external customers
- Construction Site experience preferable
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Experience managing a database of logistical information, or relevant qualifications to demonstrate capability - Desired
- Results orientated, team player, capable of managing emergency issues
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills
- Discretion - Confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information

Profile

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

- Strong IT skills (Microsoft and Google applications)
- A good standard of education in Maths and English.
