About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care to a physically disabled female adult in their own home, helping them regain independence.
Your duties include:
• Personal care e.g. showering, toileting, bowel and catheter irrigation and dressing.
• Oversee and administer medication.
• Attend to pressure area care and apply creams/dressings.
• Monitor stock of medications and sundries and prompt reordering when appropriate.
• Meal preparation and basic cooking
• Light household tasks
• Accompanying/driving client to appointments
• Companionship and emotional support.

• Competitive pay rates: £13.87 per hour plus annual leave 5.6 weeks pro rata (based on hours)
• 28 – 34 Hours per week, flexible hours mostly afternoon shifts.
• Occasional weekends and sleepovers.
• Paid shadow shift.
• Any PPE required will be provided.
• Free snacks and drink whilst in the house.
What We Are Looking For
• A full UK driving licence, you will have access to my wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• Right to Work: You must already have the right to work already in the UK.
• Ability to be flexible in work patterns
• Good communication skills
• PVG Scheme Membership/Update is required for this role.
You should preferably have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant, however, if you’re compassionate, reliable, and ready to start a rewarding career in care, we’d love to hear from you.
