As a Health and Fitness Coach in our Leisure team, you’ll help people build healthier futures by empowering them to make progress that feels personal, purposeful, and achievable. You’ll bring expertise, energy, and care to every interaction, supporting members to grow in confidence and capability.
You’ll create a community‑orientated environment where every member feels supported — whether they’re stepping onto the gym floor for the first time or pushing for a new milestone. Your work will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of individuals and the wider community.
What you’ll do as a Health and Fitness Coach
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver our signature Health and Fitness programmes, supporting members and casual users.
- Personalise programmes using your training knowledge while following our coaching methodologies.
- Track client progress and follow up with members to help them stay on track toward their goals.
- Administer health and fitness evaluations including body composition, cardiovascular tests, strength tests, and more.
- Deliver onboarding sessions to help new members start strong and connect them with the right programmes.
- Coach, motivate, and instruct members on the gym floor, providing clear, safe, and engaging guidance.
- Deliver Personal Training sessions and contribute to income targets through our PT profit‑share model.
- Lead signature Group and Small Group Training sessions across our gyms and studios.
- Maintain an excellent, safe, and welcoming gym environment aligned with our brand standards.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development to build your expertise and career pathway.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Level 2 Fitness Instruction (mandatory).
- Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (or willingness to achieve this within 12 months).
- A strong understanding of health and fitness principles and structured client programming.
- Group training experience or qualifications (desirable, with full training provided).
- A passion for helping people achieve meaningful progress and a commitment to excellent member experience.
Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
