Summary
P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Packing Operator to join their team based in Norwich on a full-time, temporary basis for 6-8 weeks.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure labels are packed and presented in proper condition for shipping.
• Accurately label individual roll cores and cartons to ensure traceability of labels has been maintained.
• Complete end of manufacture quality control checks to verify good product has been manufactured.
• Maintain working environment to demonstrated standards.
• Desire to learn new skills and progress.
• Actively participate and engage in departmental Continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
• Pack labels into cartons as company specification.
• Complete quality control checks as company specification.
• Mount/demount plates in line with production schedule.
• Help with label dispatch as required and trained.
• To abide by all statutory requirements including those relating to health and safety.
• To ensure you read, understand and fulfil your responsibilities under the Company’s equal opportunities policy in place from time to time.
• To adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures in place from time to time including those relating to HR and health and safety.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
• General warehouse and packing experience.
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Manual Handling.
• Identifying objects.
• Knowledge of completing paperwork and maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
• FLT license (Desirable).
• First Aid (Desirable)
Person Specification:
• Time management.
• Communication.
• General IT.
• Ability to multitask.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Team player.
• Good communicator.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• To be able to adapt to new tasks or responsibilities as required.
Working Hours:
• 38 Hours per week.
• Mon-Fri rotating shift pattern 05:45-14:15/14:15-22:45.
