Raskelf Group, a leading UK manufacturer of luxury sleep products, is expanding and looking for experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our growing team. Based at our headquarters in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, you will be instrumental in ensuring our award-winning products, including Duvalay sleeping bags and a wide range of mattresses for home, leisure, and contract markets, reach our valued customers and partners.
About Raskelf Group:
The Raskelf Group is a dynamic and innovative company renowned for our commitment to quality and comfort. We encompass well-known brands such as Duvalay, Summerby Sleep, Nursery Connections (UK's largest cot mattress manufacturer), and Raskelf Contract Beds. With a recent multi-million-pound investment in our Heckmondwike facility, we are significantly increasing our manufacturing output and looking for reliable drivers to support our continued growth.
The Role:
As a Class 1 HGV Driver for Raskelf Group, you will be responsible for:
• Safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations across the UK.
• Assist with loading and unloading.
• Adhering to all road safety regulations, driving hours, and working time directives.
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
• Always maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
• Potentially involving some nights out (paid).
• Flexible approach to start and finish times to meet business needs.
• At times you will be required to driver our other vehicles including a 7.5 tonne & long wheeled based van.
We are looking for individuals who possess:
• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the transport team.
• Physically fit to handle manual handling duties as required.
• No more than 6 points on your licence (minor endorsements only).
• A flexible and positive attitude to work.
• Reliability and punctuality.
