What you'll be doing;
- Lead day-to-day and shutdown maintenance activities to maximise plant throughput and minimise downtime
- Plan, schedule, and organise all maintenance activities using CMMS to optimise plant uptime and availability
- Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and process equipment
- Manage service contractors, including inductions, work permits, RAMS reviews, and compliance with safe working practices
- Inspect equipment and work areas for hazards or defects, completing required documentation and reporting issues to the Maintenance Manager
- Supervise a team of 5 people managing holidays and any required cover
What we're looking for;
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge with proven experience in industrial maintenance
- Steam raising experience in Energy Recovery Facilities (ERF) or similar high-temperature process environments
- Advanced proficiency with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) for maintenance planning and scheduling
- Extensive knowledge of work permits, RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements), and HSE compliance in industrial settings
- Experience managing and coordinating service contractors and third-party maintenance providers
- Proven track record in leading planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes
- Experience with shutdown planning and execution to minimise downtime
- Technical expertise across mechanical systems (pumps, valves, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics) and electrical systems (motors, control panels, instrumentation)
- Supervisory experience managing maintenance teams
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
