Summary

KS1 SEMH Teacher
Location: Kidderminster
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: April 2026

Paragon Education is recruiting a dedicated and nurturing KS1 SEMH Teacher for a specialist provision in Kidderminster. This setting supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, providing a structured and therapeutic environment where children are supported to re-engage with learning and develop positive relationships.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is resilient, patient, and passionate about making a meaningful difference during the crucial early years of a child’s education.

Key responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated KS1 lessons

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs through structured routines and clear expectations

Implementing behaviour strategies and emotional regulation approaches

Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCO and external professionals

Monitoring progress in line with EHCP targets

Creating a safe, nurturing and consistent classroom environment

Requirements:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience teaching KS1 pupils

Experience supporting SEMH needs (mainstream or specialist)

Strong behaviour management skills

A calm, resilient and empathetic approach

Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
