The Opportunity
Are you looking to step into a role where you can directly influence the successful delivery of a major civil infrastructure programme within a secure, highly regulated environment? This opportunity has arisen due to programme growth and increased delivery demands, creating the need for an experienced professional to support and supervise a critical package of works.
You’ll be joining an established, high-performing team, working within a complex and rewarding setting that demands precision, stakeholder collaboration, and exceptional delivery discipline. This role offers exposure to senior decision?makers, the chance to work on technically fascinating engineering challenges, and the ability to make a tangible difference to national operational capability.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the Project Manager with contract administration and overall project coordination
- Assisting in managing financial performance, budgets and forecasting
- Supporting project assurance, gateway reviews and compliance activities
- Monitoring contractor and supply chain performance against contractual obligations
- Building strong working relationships with delivery teams and stakeholders
- Reviewing schedules, cost estimates, risks and change impacts
- Preparing reports, metrics and updates for key stakeholders
- Acting in accordance with NEC3 contract requirements and professional standards
- Conducting inspections, attending FAT and SAT, and monitoring quality compliance
- Managing on?site records and supporting health and safety oversight
- Supporting commissioning teams and reviewing test and commissioning documentation
- Helping facilitate lessons learned, quality KPIs and document control processes
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- UK National with SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years post?graduate experience
- Engineering or project management technical qualifications
- ONC/OND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
- CITB CSCS
- Excellent understanding of CDM and Health & Safety requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
It’s great if you also have the following
- Prior experience working within regulated or safeguarded sites
- HNC/HND or higher in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- NEC4 Supervisor accreditation
- First Aid certification
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Professional membership of a relevant body
- APM PMQ or above
The setting for the role
This position is based on a large, complex civil engineering programme within a controlled and secure environment. You will work closely with engineering, programme controls and contractor teams, operating in a setting where quality, safety and operational assurance are paramount. The work requires full?time on?site presence and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders with varying priorities and risks.
