Summary
Looking for a male Support Worker to support an adult male in his own flat.
The Service User is 29 years old and has a diagnosis of Autism and is nonverbal.
£16.50 per hour
(1hour paid lunch break)
Sunday 8am-3pm (7hrs)
Tuesday 3pm-10pm (7hrs)
You will escort him to Church every Sunday and support him to make his lunch. He is independent with all his personal care needs. You will be required to support him with household chores.
Training (fully paid) will be provided.
1.You must have a good understanding of the needs of people who have learning disabilities - Autism.
2.The ability to assist the service user in accessing community resources and activities identified as part of their Person-Centred Support Plan.
3.The ability to communicate with the nonverbal service User by a visual timetable.
4.There will be lone working but telephone support when needed.
5. To ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained always and to consistently display a courteous and helpful manner.
6.You must be able to administer medication safely (Training provided)
7.DBS at cost to applicant (£79.00) will be reimbursed after probationary period.
