Hays Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a well-established, research‑driven organisation in Cambridge to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Finance function until September 2026 on a contract basis.
Your new role
As Accounts Manager, you'll report to the Finance Manager and your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing general ledgers
- Line managing a small team
- Supporting with budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting with debt collection
- Supporting with grant applications
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification.
- Experience working within a fast-paced accounts environment.
- Strong IT proficiency - including Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous line management experience.

Salary up to £40k (pro rata).
FTC until September 2026.
