Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to be a core member of the trauma & orthopaedic team based at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. They will be involved in providing sub-specialty interest in the management of complex knee trauma including fracture surgery and acute and delayed soft tissue reconstruction, but managing other urgent orthopaedic trauma presenting to a busy Major Trauma Centre is also a requirement. The on-call commitment is 1:16 for complex orthopaedic trauma, with separate on call services for hands and spines. The candidate would be expected to deliver regular fracture clinics and trauma lists, including on the weekend. A proportion of elective operating sessions will be delivered flexibly. The post holder will start on a 10 PA job plan.
