Summary
We’re looking for a detail-driven, highly organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Richmond (TW9 1EG).
Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, suppliers are paid on time and our financial controls remain watertight
Please note: this is a fully office-based role, five days per week in Richmond.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong supplier relationships across the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Matching, checking and batching supplier invoices against POs and delivery notes.
- Coding and posting invoices accurately and within deadline.
- Preparing and processing payment runs (BACS, CHAPS and cheque).
- Posting Direct Debits and reconciling against bank statements.
- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Managing the Aged Creditors report.
- Handling supplier queries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintaining organised records, including utilities invoices.
- Supporting VAT corrections and assisting with audit requirements
You’ll work closely with suppliers, hotel teams and Head Office colleagues to keep our financial operations running smoothly and compliantly.
About You
You’re meticulous, proactive and thrive on getting the detail right.
We’re looking for:
- Experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (hospitality experience desirable)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and a solution-focused mindset
