The role
To provide professional Process Engineering expertise to the SSE Hornsea Gas Storage sites in order to maintain and improve site availability, direct cost performance and SHE performance.
You will
-Monitor and assess plant performance to identify deviations from the normal operating parameters in terms of process capability, availability, gas quality and direct costs.
-Identify corrective actions required to restore site operation to the accepted norm and work alongside the Shift Engineers and Technicians to implement them
-Develop and maintain Operating Instructions and Procedures and provide training to shift personnel to ensure that the plant is operated in the correct manner by all process staff.
-Carry out Root Cause Analysis investigations as required to identify causes of failures to meet nominations, process problems and equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
-Identification of improvement opportunities and drive improvement
You have
-Technical knowledge of processes for high pressure gas injection, storage and withdrawal
-Knowledge of IT programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Process)
-Ability to prioritise work and continually seek better ways of working
